GlobalFoundries sues Tower Semi for process technology patent infringement

GlobalFoundries is suing Tower Semiconductor for infringing 11 patents relating to process technology.

The cases are being brought before the US International Trade Commission (ITC) and the District Court for the Western District of Texas.

GlobalFoundries sues Tower Semi for process technology patent  infringementGloFo alleges that Tower is using the technologies covered by the patents in its semiconductor  manufacturing operations without a licence.

The processes involved cover ICs used in smartphones, cars, aerospace and comms.



GloFo is asking that Tower be prevented from importing and selling products that use these processes and for damages.
