Craig Barratt to be Chairman of Intel

Intel has appointed Craig Barratt to be its next chairman, taking over from Frank Yeary who became chairman in 2023.

Barratt, pictured, joined the Intel board last gear. He previously ran Atheros Communications, which was  bought  by Qualcomm, worked at Google and was CEO of Barefoot Networks, which was bought by Intel.

“Craig brings deep semiconductor expertise and a strong record of technology and operational leadership in complex, engineering-driven businesses,” said Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan.


“As we enter our next phase — focused on disciplined execution, product leadership and foundry progress — his experience will be instrumental in supporting management and driving sustainable long-term value for stockholders.”
