Binder’s latest M8 flange connectors feature a new solder-connection design with the idea being to enable simple, manual wiring, whether for customised builds or small production batches.

The connectors are aimed at applications requiring customer-specific cable lengths or manual production in small series, says the company. This may be in automation and robotics, where compact designs and flexible signal transmission may be essential. For example, conveyor technology, sensor/actuator cabling, and robotic systems with limited installation space.

Note, binder already offers M8 flange connectors in various connection including dip-solder, wire and cable versions.

“Due to increasing demand, we have developed an M8 solution with solder buckets for the relevant applications,” said Guido Werner, Product Manager at binder. “Continuously expanding and improving our connector portfolio is important to us. Responding to customer needs is a key part of this.”

Complying with the IEC 61076-2-104 standard for circular M8 connectors, they conform with protection classes IP65, IP67, and IP69K

Binder headquarters are in Neckarsulm, Germany, and the company has offices in the UK in Hemel Hempstead. It employs around 2,000 people worldwide.
