Power supply configuration
Aimed at engineers and system integrators, the idea is for the configurator to enable fast selection and sourcing, for a project’s power requirements.
The online tool covers Chassis Options, for example possible application standards, air-flow directions, the input connection and allowed leakage. And there are the Output Requirement Options, covering the number of outputs, voltage, current, and the power out.
Once configured, the custom power supply can be assembled and shipped directly from the Thief River Falls distributor.
“DigiKey is thrilled to offer this industry-first tool that allows our customers to configure their own power supply independently,” said Heather Fulara, senior director, interconnect and electromechanical for DigiKey. “It dramatically reduces the time it takes to acquire a configured unit, which allows for more efficient workflows, saving time and accelerating design.”
Vox Power
Vox Power is the first supplier working with the tool, which currently features its NEVO+ and VCCM series. Marco Prinsloo, co-owner of Vox Power, commented:
“[The company] is proud to collaborate with DigiKey as the first supplier to participate in this innovative, time-saving tool. We trust DigiKey’s expertise in making our customers’ designs come together seamlessly through its efficient online design and customization options.”
You can sample the tool online at the distributor’s website – Power Supply Configurator.
