Devlin Electronics acquires Purekeys UK

Electromechanical specialist, Devlin Electronics has acquired Purekeys UK, the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for Purekeys medical keyboards.

The wired and wireless keyboards and input devices are for use by doctors, dentists, hospitals and vets. They can be cleaned to reduce the risk of contamination in clinical settings. The flat, waterproof keyboards are IP66-rated and can be cleaned using hospital-grade cleaning products.

Devlin’s director, Tony Carr, confirmed that Purekeys UK’s director, Christopher Docking will continue at Devlin for “several months” to assist with the transition.


Devlin was founded in 1976 and is an electromechanical input device manufacturer serving the broadcast, industrial and retail markets. It is also a distributor for brands including Cherry. A bespoke design service is also offered as well as repairs to its own and other manufacturers’ products. It is certified to UKCA, CE, FCC and UL and has facilities for pre-compliance testing. It is certified to ISO9001:2015 and offers a range of manufacturing services including PCB assembly with plated through hole, surface mount technology, flow solder facilities, laser marking and engraving as well as plastics moulding.
