Astute tackles supply chain with Winslow Adaptics signing

Winslow Adaptics specialises in solving electronic and mechanical obsolescence with custom adapters and interposers, IC footprint conversion, test modules, asic to FPGA migration, and connector reverse engineering. It uses its in-house capabilities to maintain tooling for legacy connectors and also to ensure backwards compatibility.

To address supply chain disruption issues or long term obsolences problems for electronics and interconnect products, distributor Astute Group has signed a global deal with the UK’s Winslow Adaptics.

The agreement highlights the rising costs, long lead times, and legacy system maintenance across defence, aerospace, automotive, and other high-reliability sectors.


“This partnership with Winslow Adaptics brings our customers creative solutions to complex obsolescence challenges,” says Jon Sypula, Semiconductor BDM, Astute Group. He praised the “flexible engineering approach means we can now offer customers practical alternatives when standard solutions don’t fit”.
