Back-to-back mosfets are used at the output to switch ac or dc voltages.
VORA1150 has 1,414Vpeak repetitive isolation (and 8kV transients), and a maximum leakage of 1µA.
“The 4pin design allows the device to provide a 5mm creepage distance on its output pins, as required by DIN EN-60644-1 for isolation monitoring in 800V battery systems,” said the company, adding that it also meets hipot test requirements for 800V electric vehicles.
CTI (comparative tracking index) the package insulator is 600, and it is rated for a one minute isolation test at 5,300Vrms.
Maximum turn-on and turn-off times are 150 and 250 µs respectively (10mA If, 20kΩ load, 40Vdd), and it has a 0.9mA avalanche capability.

Operation is over -40 to +125°C, and qualification is to AEC-Q102.
Applications are also foreseen in pre-charge relays, on-board chargers, energy storage systems and industrial air conditioning.
