Specifically, it is the ViewBoard IFP35-1 and ViewBoard IFP41-1 Series, which are described as “coming soon”. Their homes will be lecture halls, seminar rooms, and hybrid learning spaces.
Both feature 64-point multi-touch technology and built-in ambient light and PIR motion sensors for improved energy efficiency. Basically, automatically adjusting screen brightness. And powering the display on when the classroom is in use, and off when it’s unoccupied.
There’s also myViewBoard digital whiteboarding software, with a redesigned interface. For example, real-time collaboration tools, Participate Mode for student engagement, and accessibility features.
“In response to educators’ expectations for secure and future-ready classroom technology, we are introducing the new ViewBoard series powered by the latest operating system,” said Dennis Lin, General Manager of ViewSonic Education Solutions.
Google officially began rolling out Android 16 in June 2025, traditionally a very slow process, and initially to its own Pixel devices.
IFP35-1
The IFP35-1 displays will be available in 65″, 75″, and 86″ models. Powered by an octa-core CPU with 8GB of RAM 128GB storage, they include ViewSonic education software. For example, the tools for whiteboarding, wireless casting, and device management.
As mentioned, the ambient light and motion sensors are designed to optimise brightness, conserve energy, and generally extend panel life.
The specification for the 75″ TFT LCD Module with DLED backlight, for example, is as follows:

IFP41-1
The IFP41-1 series will be in 55″, 65″, 75″, 86″, and 98″ models. Again, there are built-in light and PIR motion sensors with 64-point touch support.
Dual USB-C ports provide connectivity with up to 100W power delivery. And a speaker system, with a subwoofer and microphone, supports clearer comms and audio. There’s also Write Away instant annotation.
EDLA-certified
Both the series are EDLA-certified. That is, certification (Enterprise Devices Licensing Agreement) from Google. For example to run Google apps such as Docs, Drive and the Play Store. But more importantly, they will also receive regular security updates.
