The system is anchored to the bottom of the lake and is connected to the grid using a submersible cable.<\/p>\n<p>The overall system is designed to last for 25 years and produce a minimum generation of 14MWh\/year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe project underlines Vikram Solar\u2019s efforts to make solar energy available everywhere and for everyone \u2013 even in the remotest and most challenging environments, such as water. The system had to be suitably designed to be able to withstand this force,\u201d said\u00a0Miguel Monsalve, head of business development &amp; engineering, Vikram Solar.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"image\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vikramsolar.com\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vikram Solar<\/a> manufactures monocrystalline and polycrystalline modules ranging from 5Wp to 300Wp at its production facilities in the Falta Special Economic Zone in West Bengal.
