It is hoping to launch from the SaxaVord spaceport on Shetland, but the licence covers any UK site.<\/p><div class=\"elect-test\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"elect-1981700238\"><div id=\"DFP-EW-InRead1\">\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"> if ($(window).width() > 768) { googletag.display('DFP-EW-InRead1'); } <\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<BR>\r\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cBecoming the first homegrown company in the UK to receive a launch operator licence is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Skyrora,&#8221; said the CEO of Skyrora, <a rel=\"image\" href=\"https:\/\/skyrora.com\/skyrora-secures-first-uk-launch-licence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Volodymyr Levykin<\/a>.<\/p><div class=\"elect-post-content-2\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"elect-1798591932\"><div id=\"DFP-EW-InRead1-Mobile\">\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"> if ($(window).width() <= 768) { googletag.display('DFP-EW-InRead1-Mobile'); } <\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;We are pleased to be able to move forward with our launch plans. This is beyond the K\u00e1rm\u00e1n line, defining a boundary of space.<\/p>\n<p>It is powered by a 30kN bipropellant engine and built with 3D-printed components in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The company highlights it was initially developed to validate subsystems ahead of Skyrora XL. The prototype has also opened doors to microgravity research at a lower cost than orbital alternatives, says Skyrora.<\/p>\n<p>Pictured right is the Skyrora rocket at a site in Langanes, Iceland.
