The ICs also have low output ripple of approximately 250mV and load current variation of 1mA to 500mA within 1\u00b5s, with a low capacitance of 470nF (typical).<\/p><div class=\"elect-post-content-2\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"elect-60180115\"><div id=\"DFP-EW-InRead1-Mobile\">\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"> if ($(window).width() <= 768) { googletag.display('DFP-EW-InRead1-Mobile'); } <\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n<p>The power ICs are available in five package options, HTSOP-J8 (4.9 x6.0x1.0mm), TO252-3 (6.5&#215;9.5&#215;2.5mm), TO252-5 (6.5&#215;9.5&#215;2.5mm), T)263-3 (10.16&#215;15.10&#215;4.7mm) and TO263-5 (10.16&#215;15.1&#215;4.7mm).<\/p>\n<p>According to the company, they support standard small MLCCs (multi-layer ceramic capacitors) down to ultra small MLCCs e.g., 0603M (0.6&#215;0.3mm) with capacities below 1\u00b5F.\u00a0 They are also suitable for large-capacity electrolytic capacitors.<\/p>\n<p>The LDO regulator ICs are available directly from <a rel=\"image\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rohm.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Rohm Semiconductor<\/a> and online distributors DigiKey, Mouser and Farnell.<\/p>\n<p>There are also Spice models available for simulation which can be downloaded from the company website.<\/p>\n<p>Typical applications in automotive equipment are powertrain system power supplies for fuel injection and tyre pressure monitoring systems as well as body system power supplies for body control modules and infotainment system power supplies.<\/p>\n<p>In industrial equipment, they can be used in power supplies for PLCs, remote terminal units and industrial gateways, and power supplies for monitor and control panels.<\/p>\n<p>They are also suitable for power supplies in consumer electronics, for example in control boards for domestic appliances as well as thermostats and doorbells and power supplies for home security and
